CRS shared experience in Directional Signing at Vietnam Road Safety Conference [August 2015]

In support of the National Road Safety Conference co-organised by the Vietnam Ministry of Transport and United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) held at Na Trang on 27th and 28th July 2015, CRS specially drafted a paper on important considerations for the development of a Directional Signing standard. CRS recognises that the period of rapid expansion of road network in Asian countries is also the golden era to develop a compatible standard of signing. CRS highly recommends that countries invest a small portion of their budget into signing standard and guidelines, since subsequent rectification and upgrading could be costly and difficult.
