    New Flyover at Kwai Chung needs better signage for safety

    Since the opening of the new single-lane flyover connecting the Kwai Tsing Interchange Upramp to Kwai Chung Road, several collisions have been reported near the diverge point, with drivers reportedly behaving erratically on the approach.

    In this article, Julian examines the underlying factors- hidden diverge point, ambiguous directional signs, and unsuitable road markings, and sets out a series of recommendations to improve drivers’ awareness and reduce collision risks on this critical stretch of Route 5.
